Manti

Last weekend, James and I celebrated our

FIRST ANNIVERSARY!

Although I don't know how it could have possibly been a year
already. Our real anniversary isn't until the 30th, but this was
the weekend that worked best for a little get-a-way.

James and I had always talked about wanting to go down
to the Manti temple and about a month ago, James suprised
me with reservations to the CUTEST little Bed and Breakfast.

We kicked it off Friday after work and drove down to Manti,
Utah and saw this ol' beauty:

We got to our bed and breakfast and then ate dinner at the
resturant below. It was so good! Then we got in our car
and toured Manti. (It took about a minute.) Then we drove
up to the temple and walked around.

We both decided that it was probably our new favorite
temple. So beautiful and unique, inside and out.

Presenting...
The Historic Manti House Inn

This was our bed and breakfast just across the street
from the temple. We stayed in the Brigham Young Suite
and it was so awesome! I loved everything about it.
And that porch...James had a hard time getting me to
leave the porch swing...

This was the amazing Brigham Young Suite.

I loved the colors!

The next morning, we opened our shutters to
this view...

Not too shabby...

That next morning, we had the best french toast ever made
and then made a quick run to the Ephraim Wal-Mart to grab
some church clothes that somebody forgot, then made it back
in time for the 9:30 Session. It was beautiful and we loved
every second of it.

After the temple, we got some lunch and then we walked around
some of the shops in the town. Actually we walked around all
three shops in town. We love Manti, it was so fun and
a very relaxing and the perfect place to go for our anniversary.

Pros and Cons of a Snow Day in May

CONS:

Cindy has to go to WORK while James stays home.

Cindy has to get out of bed while James is still in bed.

James reminds Cindy EVERY 12 SECONDS that he is
at home today, not working but still getting paid, just
in case she forgets...

PRO'S:
I get to snuggle with James longer in the morning.

James meets me for lunch and we eat a Subway Sandwich,
walk around Costco for a while, and split a McDonald's
hot fudge sundae.

James is a VERY happy boy all day long!

You did WHAT?!?!

My mom came and stayed last night at the
Steel B&B and it was pretty dang fun. I dropped her off early
at the airport this morning for her flight out to Arizona
for a couple days.

Photobucket
She took us out to Zupas...one of James and I's favorite place.
Tomato Soup and California Turkey sandwich (cold)...in case anybody is wondering.

Then we watched The Biggest Loser (What the heck Daris?!?!)

But it was after the show was over and we were all just
lounging around, that my mom's true colors came out.

While we were sworn to secrecy, we got her to tell us some of
the things she did in High School that she swore she would
NEVER tell her mom. Some of it was pretty good too...
(Not BAD things), just those things you wouldn't necesarrily
want your mom to hear about...at least not until 20 or 30
years down the road and they can't get mad at you anymore.

Now I can't wait to have that talk with my mom in 20 years!
I've got some things to get off my chest...

JUST KIDDING MOM! We love you, thanks for visiting!

RAVISHED

I just got thrown on the love sac and

RAVISHED.

James jumped on me and hugged
kissed and made me laugh
so hard he effectively made me

SNORT.

Then we laughed our guts out and
cuddled there for about 30 Seconds until

SMALLVILLE

came back on. Then James let go of me,
pushed me off the love sac, turned up the volume
and said lovingly "We're done here..."

How is your Friday night???

A great Weekend

We had a great weekend and I didn't
want to forget how nice it was so I decided to
write it all down.

We kicked it off by going on a double date with my
brother and sister in law Casey and Tracy. We met
at Red Robin for dinner (Amazing Fries by the way)
and then went to see this...

And I have to admit...I didn't really care
about the first movie all that much. But
we LOVED this movie. Lots of action and
Robert Downey Jr makes the whole movie!
It was so much fun!
Saturday morning, James and I got up early
and braced ourselves for the crowds...

We did the Race for the Cure 5K
in Salt Lake at the Gateway. I had done it
once before and it was a great experience and
so I was excited to do it again. James and I
ran/walked the whole 5K (running more than
walking, thank you very much.) Although James
probably could have ran the whole dang thing,
he was a good husband and stuck by me! I will
get back into running shape this summer...

After the race we pointed the ol' Toyota North to
Idaho to suprise both of our moms
for Mother's Day. After a quick stop at Cracker
Barrel for a Post Race Breakfast, of course.

We got to Gooding and spent a fun time with
James's Parents in Gooding. We helped his dad
and mowed the lawn (with their awesome dixon
lawn-mower.) Where was that kind of lawn mowing
when I was a kid?! I would have complained about
my dreaded chore lots less, I'm sure, if I had
one of those puppies! We ordered Pizza and watched
a movie Saturday night and then had church and
the most amazing Sunday nap that afternoon. It
is always fun to hang out and just visit and
talk with James's Parents. I love my in-laws!
James and I were both very lucky to have great
in-laws! :)
Then we headed down to Rupert for a few hours
on our way back to Utah. It was awesome! We
got there in time to eat dessert with my mom
and grandma and brother and sister in law. Then
We went out side and helped my dad milk
cows! Just like riding a bike, you just never
forget how. It was fun to get back into the barn
and get dirty again and spending time with my dad
is always a treat. Then my sister and brother in law
came over and we played with these
cute kiddos (who are getting so
stinkin big)

and then chatted with everybody for a while
which turned our quick 2 hour stop into a 4 1/2 hour
stop, putting us back in Salt Lake at midnight!

Oh well, any second spent back home in Idaho will
ALWAY be well worth it!

Happy Mother's Day to our mom's!
We love you!!

Grandpa

Today is my Grandpa Bradshaw's
birthday. He passed away about a year and a half
ago leaving behind one heck of a beautiful and amazing
woman. My grandpa was the best of the best and was
loved by all who knew him.

I think I can speak for all of my cousins when I say
Here's to:

4 Wheeler Rides, Banana Creamies,
Cussin, Teasing, The Feed Lot, Softball,
Sunday afternoon rides to Jack in the Box,
The Bowling Alley, dancing in his underwear,
swearing at the pulpit, and Always, ALWAYS
making us laugh.

He always had a twinkle in his eye. He was one of
the Good Ol' Boys. A hard working farmer who
helped a lot of people in his life.

I feel very blessed to have lived so close to him. I miss him
driving out to the middle of the field to visit me when I was
in the tractor. I miss him coming in the barn while I was
milking cows and calling me the milk maid. I miss meeting
people around Rupert or at school and them asking me if Lynn
is my Grandpa. I'm so grateful for the knowledge of the Eternal
Plan of Salvation and the Sealing power in the Temple.
It is wonderful knowing that he is my grandpa forever and
that I will see him again someday.

Hope you are having a great birthday up there Grandpa!
We miss you.

A New Development

We are a little obsessed with The
Biggest Loser around our house.
And while I actually have discovered I really like
ALL of the contestents still on the show,
(Even Mike and Sunshine, althoughthey both can be
babies) I have changed my favorite.
Originally, I posted here that I wanted Sam or Koli to win.
AlthoughI still really like them, I want Daris to win...

He has this underdog quality about him, but he is still
awesome and a hard worker. He has these little
puppy dog eyes and voice that just gets to me! haha
NBC wouldn't let me steal any new pictures from
Makeover week last night, but click here to see how far
Daris has come. He is my first pick for Biggest Loser with
Koli or Ashley coming in second...
The show is getting pretty intense!
